I would like to share our classroom rules with you! Classroom rules MUST be followed in order to protect the rights of every student to learn and enjoy school. Students will be informed and corrected if they break a rule. Students may also need to stay in at lunch recess to practice following a specific class rule. ![]()
Thank you to everyone who made it to our open house! It was nice to meet you in person and invite you into our classroom. For those of you who couldn't make it here are some pictures from that night.
We were missing a lot of students due to the mega heat wave. Rather than continue with our regular schoolwork we took it easy, read some books, and did some challenges! One of these challenges was to build the tallest tower out of some blocks. Here are some of the towers that were made!
We are slowly working our way through practicing the Daily 5 (Read to Self, Read to Someone, Work on Writing, Word Work, and Listen to Reading). Today I introduced the students to some of the things they could do for Word Work. Word Work stations were set up around the class and students were given time to try each one.
They did a good job using different methods to practice spelling some of the most commonly used (and sometimes mispelled) words! Last week we read our first book by author and illustrator, Oliver Jeffers. "Stuck" is always a class favourite! |
