ClassDojo is an amazing resource that can be used in the classroom in a wide variety of ways!
For now I will only be using it to give students positive feedback. "Working hard" and "On Task" points are awarded to students who are trying their best and are focused during classwork. "Changing tasks" points are used often to reward students who transition well from one activity to another. "Helping Others" and "Being Kind" points are awarded on occasion to those who go out of their way to be helpful or kind.
Once students achieve 50 points they are allowed to choose a small "prize" out of our prize bin! This is a small way I want to let students know that they are doing a good job and I appreciate their effort.
If you would like to download the app or visit the Class Dojo website to view your child's progress in class, let me know and I can email you the instructions and your child's code!
Students are only allowed to ask about how many points they have. They are encouraged to focus only on their points and not compare themselves to others.
